Last updated: March 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Zinkvision ("we", "us", "our"), operating the IPWeb3 platform ("Service"), collects, uses, stores, and protects your information.

We take your privacy seriously. Your studio's intellectual property, portfolio data, and revenue information are confidential and never shared with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

  • Feature usage patterns

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service (register IPs, generate certificates, manage your portfolio)
  • Process payments and manage your subscription
  • Send transactional emails (certificates, license notifications, monthly reports)
  • Provide customer support
  • Improve the Service based on usage patterns
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share your IP content with other studios.

4. Data Storage and Security

Where Your Data Is Stored

Account and application dataPostgreSQL database (Neon)
Uploaded files (pre-registration)Supabase Storage (temporary)
Registered IP filesIPFS via Storacha (permanent, decentralized)
IP registration recordsPolygon network (permanent, public)
Payment informationStripe (PCI-compliant)

Security Measures

  • Multi-tenant data isolation — each studio's data is scoped and separated
  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit
  • Role-based access control for team members
  • Authentication managed by Clerk with email verification
  • Admin access restricted to authorized personnel only

5. On-chain and IPFS — Permanent Data

Important: Certain data stored on-chain and IPFS is permanent and cannot be deleted:

  • On-chain records — IP registration transactions, ownership history, and license records on Polygon are immutable and publicly verifiable.
  • IPFS files — Files stored on IPFS are content-addressed and persist on the decentralized network permanently. They cannot be deleted by us or any single party.
  • Certificate verification — Public verification pages (/verify/[id]) are accessible to anyone with the certificate ID. This is intentional for proof of ownership.

By registering IP through the Service, you acknowledge and consent to the permanent nature of these records.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate IPWeb3. Each processes certain data under their own privacy policies:

StripePayment processing and subscription billing

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We only share information in the following cases:

  • With third-party providers listed above, solely to operate the Service
  • On on-chain — IP registration records are public by design (this is how proof of ownership works)
  • On the marketplace — if you list IPs for licensing, selected metadata is visible to potential buyers
  • Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or government request

8. Data Retention

  • Account data — retained while your account is active, deleted upon full account closure (see Terms of Service, Section 8)
  • On-chain records — permanent, cannot be deleted
  • IPFS files — permanent, cannot be deleted
  • Payment records — retained as required by tax and financial regulations
  • Temporary uploads — deleted from temporary storage after registration is complete

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data — available through your studio portal
  • Correct inaccurate data — contact us or update via your portal settings
  • Export your data — request a data export by contacting us
  • Delete your account data — subject to the account closure process and on-chain permanence
  • Transfer your on-chain assets to your own wallet at any time

Note: Due to the nature of on-chain technology, we cannot delete or modify data that has been recorded on-chain or stored on IPFS.

10. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management (via Clerk). We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics tools that profile your behavior across other websites.
